Pen High Decision

A victory for the Penticton School District in an effort to demolish the Pen High Gymnasium and Auditorium.  Judge Jeff Barrow sided with the school district who were at odds with a concerned citizens group wanting to save the buildings.  Board Chair Larry Little says the judge clearly spoke to the open process used in deciding their fate.  Work crews will begin demolishing the buildings in late August.

The group fighting to save the Pen-High auditorium and north gym says they are disappointed by the ruling.  Spokesperson with the Penticton League of Sensible Electors Dave Shunter says the B-C Supreme Court judge considered their group a non-entity.  Shunter says they will meet with their lawyer to decide their next course of action, which could possibly include an appeal.
